Everything you need to know about using Torvex.
Head to the Sign Up page and enter a username, email, password, and your date of birth (you must be at least 13). Check your inbox for a confirmation email and click the link to activate your account.
Go to Log In and enter your email and password. If you have two-factor authentication enabled, you'll be asked for your 6-digit code from your authenticator app.
On the login page, click "Forgot password?" and enter your email. We'll send you a link to reset it.
You can join a server by using an invite link. When you first sign up, you're automatically added to the main Torvex server.
Click the "+" button in the server list to create your own server. You can customize it with a name, icon, and channels.
Servers are organized into channels. Text channels are for messaging, and voice channels let you talk in real time. Server admins and moderators can create and manage channels.
Type in the message box at the bottom of any channel and press Enter. You can use @mentions to ping someone, custom emojis with :emoji_name:, and GIFs from the GIF picker.
Click on a user's name and select "Send Message" to start a DM. You can also access your DMs from the sidebar.
Orbs are the in-app currency. You can earn them for free every day, buy them, or receive them as gifts from friends.
Claim 10 free orbs daily from the Orb Shop. You also earn 1 orb per 10 messages (up to 50/day). Build a login streak for bonus orbs: +50 at 7 days, +200 at 30 days.
Use orbs in the shop, gift them to friends, or spend them in the marketplace and RPG.
Visit the Orb Shop to purchase packs: 100 orbs for $0.99, 600 for $4.99, or 1,500 for $9.99. Payments are handled securely through Stripe.
Torvex has a built-in text-based RPG you can play right in chat. Use slash commands to explore, fight monsters, craft items, trade with friends, and more.
Type /help in a game-enabled channel to see all available commands. Common ones include /explore, /fight, /inventory, /craft, and /trade.
Server admins can enable or disable the RPG on a per-channel basis from Channel Settings.
Server owners and admins can upload custom emojis (PNG, GIF, or WebP, max 256KB). Use them by typing :emoji_name: in chat.
You can use emojis from any server you're a member of. The emoji picker groups them by server.
Free servers get 50 emojis. Upgrade to Standard (150) or Boosted (500) for more slots.
Enable TOTP two-factor authentication from your account settings. You'll need an authenticator app like Google Authenticator or Authy. Once enabled, you'll enter a 6-digit code each time you log in.
When you enable MFA, you'll receive recovery codes. Store them somewhere safe — they're your backup if you lose access to your authenticator app.
You can set a display name, bio, pronouns, avatar, banner image, and background color. Visit your profile page to make changes.
Earn badges by reaching milestones — messages sent, friends made, orbs collected, and more. Each badge earns you bonus orbs. Check the Badges page to see your progress.
